Roof

This week, we have the completion of the roof with the flashings, cappings, ridge capings and valleys installed, and it looks good. The bathroom and toilet vents at the roof were also installed.

They are currently working on the front fascia and capping to the portico at the front entrance. They have also fixed the wall conduits to the correct wall and will patch up the defaulted wall.

There has been light rain over the weekend and the roof (just in time) did it's job in keeping the rain out of the house.

Plumbing works were also completed and they have sealed off the walls where the pipe runs. As for the electrical work, some minor work required as in fixing power plugs at the roof space and junction boxes.

The conduits are now fixed to the correct wall.

Colorbond Roof

We went over today to visit and much to our surprise, they have started fixing colorbond onto the roof. We did not expect it to be this quick and looks like it is about 80% completed.

Plumbing for water and gas are also being installed.

Electrical Wiring

Sally and her kids and mum visited us from Sydney and we brought them to have a look at our house building.
The electrical wiring work has started and we could see the wires hanging from the roof space. Plumbers will be coming in soon too.

Electrical & Plumbing

The roof structures are now done and they have also completed the eaves and fascia to all the sides of the house.

Hardiflex was used for the eaves and to cover the external rack ceiling and garage ceiling. Gutters and downpipes were also installed.

They have also started marking and cutting out grooves for the electrical wiring and plumbing pipes.

Roof Structure Completed

Wow, they have finished building the roof and we could see the structure and the supporting rafters. The scaffoldings were removed and they have also started on the eaves and gutters on the west wall.

Our Roof is almost Done

We visited the building in the evening and our massive roof has taken shape. It would be about 90% completed.

We also met our new neighbours, Judy and Andrew, who is currently building next to us. They also came by to inspect their house. We may both finish at about the same time, around mid year. Exciting!

More Work on the Roof

It has been quiet last week with only the scaffolding that was put up in the middle of the house.
We drove by this morning and yo, the guys are working and there is a massive big crane there lifting the I-Beam onto the house.There were about 5-6 guys on the scaffolding and looks like the rack ceiling is getting done today.

Happy New Year 2016

Work has re-commenced on the house today and they have assembled scaffoldings for the roof construction.
Our neighbour's house is coming along nicely too and their hard working brickies worked after the Christmas week.
